Creating E-Learning - NCTE

The National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE) is an Irish Government agency established to provide advice, support and information on the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in education. They wanted to assist primary and post-primary schools throughout Ireland develop the capabilities to create their own online learning programmes in-house. 

NCTE asked Aurion Learning to build two e-learning programmes to help schools develop their own e-learning (one for primary schools and the other for post-primary schools). Each highly interactive e-learning programme includes ten hours of educational content, split over five modules and include:

• video footage showing real life scenarios, workshops and interviews relevant to teachers;
• interactive quizzes and games;
• animations;
• post learning assessment exercises to test learning;and
• additional learning resources (e-learning plan templates, handbook, audit template, roadmap, case studies and videos).
