Medications Management - An Bord Altranais

This useful Medications Management e-learning programme was developed for An Bord Altranais (Irish Nursing Board) and the National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM). It is suitable for all registered nurses and midwives in Ireland and helps them understand their role in managing medications safely and appropriately, and follow best practice.

The programme contains six units of interactive and engaging learning content and takes about three hours to complete. It includes an audio visual introduction from An Bord Altranais’ Chief Education Officer and NCNM’s Head of Professional Development. It also includes:

animations;
quizzes and games;
audio video clips showing real-life scenarios;
question and answer sessions with feedback;
useful links to websites, publications, policies and regulations;
glossary of terms relating to medication management; and
frequently asked questions.

The e-learning package meets our two initial requirements which were to provide ongoing education for nurses and midwives, and provide current guidance for practice. Aurion Learning took the trouble to fully understand our requirements and tailor-made their solution to meet our specifications.
