Preceptorship - University College, Dublin

For this project, University College, Dublin (UCD) School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems needed a learning resource to help qualified nurses develop the skills they need to be preceptors (teachers/instructors for student nurses).

UCD had learning content but needed an e-learning partner to translate their content into an interactive and engaging e-learning programme that would be of genuine benefit. Aurion Learning has a lot of experience in creating e-learning for the health sector and so was appointed as the e-learning supplier. 

Our Preceptorship - Theory into Practice e-learning programme has over three hours of interactive learning content and includes:

• audio visual interviews with real-life practicing preceptors;
• animations;
• interactive quizzes and games;
• scenarios based learning; and additional learning resources.

Administrators are able to access a tracking facility to monitor uptake and completion of the e-learning course.
