SeXelearning – Health & Social Care

HSC SexelearningSexual health has been described as poor in Northern Ireland with a high number of sexually transmitted infections and teenage pregnancies.

The Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) wanted to provide online training to help their employees deliver more informed sexual health education. They also wanted to also build their in-house capabilities so they'd be able to develop their own e-learning in the future.

Aurion's experienced team delivered a comprehensive two day instructional design training workshop to SHSCT's content writers. Under the guidance of the Aurion team, the SHSCT content writers converted text-based sex education guidelines into an interactive e-learning format that could be used in the online learning programme.

Aurion also worked with SHSCT to design and develop the SeXelearning website which has been awarded a number of high profile industry prizes for excellence including:

  • Irish eGovernment  Awards Health category Winner (2008)
  • Institute of Healthcare Management Health Sector Award (2007).

Aurion Learning's professional, business-like but friendly approach helped to create an effective working partnership which produced an excellent, high quality product we are all very proud of. Our SeXelearning course has received endorsements from the highest levels within Health and Social Services.
