Competency NIPEC is The Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council for Nursing and Midwifery. Aurion Learning designed and built a continuing professional development (CPD) portal to support nursing and midwifery professionals and students with their CPD and reflective practice.

Our NIPEC Development Framework website is password protected and completely confidential for users. Users have their own unique profile and can access a career development toolkit that includes:

360 Competency Profile: to benchmark themselves against the NIPEC competency profile;
Personal Development Planning Tools;
Portfolio: to keep a record of their ongoing professional development;
Career Planning Tools: for example advice on how to prepare for job interview; and
Learning Activities.

The Development Framework allows nurses, midwives and students to take charge of their own lifelong learning and career development. It also helps them plan for the future they want.
