Brief Interventions in Smoking CessationThe Public Health Agency (PHA) is the public body responsible for improving the health and wellbeing of the people in Northern Ireland.

PHA wanted to develop a online training programme to increase health professionals’ skills and confidence in managing smoking cessation with patients. It also wanted instructional design training for its design team to enable them to develop future e-learning programmes in-house.

Aurion Learning developed Brief Interventions in Smoking Cessation - six hours of interactive and engaging online learning. The e-learning programme features:

Aurion Learning also delivered a number of workshops to PHA's internal design team on how to create and design effective e-learning programmes. Our workshops included modules on user interface design, accessibility, usability; technical support andmarketing e-learning.

The response from health professionals has been very positive and the PHA design team now has the capability to develop and maintain e-learning in-house.

This was a unique project during which we simultaneously created an e-learning solution and delivered instructional design training to our client.
