A group of twelve volunteers from Aurion Learning will donate 60 volunteer hours to take part in a series of environmental tasks in Castle Ward National Trust as part of Give and Gain Day.
Facilitated by Business in the Community, Give and Gain Day is a national day of employee volunteering where employees are given a chance to contribute something to the local community, as well as providing the opportunity for employees to get a taster of volunteering.
Aurion volunteers will be completing tasks that would have otherwise taken considerable time and resource.
Speaking about the event, Ciaran O’Hare, Director of Aurion Learning said,
“We see it as our responsibility to use the resources available to us to give back to the local community and environment. The day we will spend in Castle Ward reflects our commitment to encouraging volunteering amongst our staff.”
“It’s a great opportunity for us to work together as team, escape the office for the day and enjoy the great outdoors… and it’s a Friday!”

About Give and Gain Day
Give and Gain Day is organised by Business in the Community and is a celebration of the power and potential of employee volunteering across the world. By getting unprecedented numbers of people out volunteering on one day, the aim is to champion the talent, skill and energy found in business and the role it can play in helping communities prosper.
Since its inception in the UK in 2008, over 82,000 volunteers have been immobilised to spend a day helping the projects that need it the most. It is the only national day of employee volunteering in the UK and has participants in 24 countries worldwide.
