Two volunteers from Aurion Learning abseiled off Ireland’s tallest building, the Obel Tower on Saturday 1 September 2012 to raise over £200 for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
Megan Rogan, Marketing Assistant and Maresa Molloy, Instructional Designer abseiled off the Obel Tower standing at 289 feet, 88 metres to help raise vital funds for children living with cancer.
Speaking about her abseil, Maresa said: “I really enjoyed taking part in the abseil and it was good to know that the money was going towards such a worthy cause. A big thank-you to all of the Aurion Learning staff who came down to support us – it made the big climb down that little bit easier.”
Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children are currently holding a number of events across Northern Ireland to raise money. Whether you want to embark on adrenaline-charged parachute jump, trek the Great Wall of China, or simply take part in their ‘Hug in a Mug’ campaign, there is something there for you. So why not visit their website and sign up to an event or two and help Northern Ireland’s kids suffering with cancer.
