Participants and those considering attending LEARNING LIVE in London next month, are able to preview the ‘Storytelling – Unlocking potential, listening to voices that matter’ session delivered by Dr. Maureen Murphy, Managing Director at Aurion Learning and Fiona Quigley, Director at FQ Learning.
During their session, which takes place on 11th September, 2013 at 4.15pm, Maureen and Fiona will explore storytelling insights into workplace learning and present case studies on the use of personal stories to help staff in libraries, colleges and banks to be more aware of the needs of deaf and blind customers as well as the use of dramatic stories to help change an aspect of the organisational narrative of a large amateur sporting organisation in Ireland.
Findings from their research into the use of stories in organisations will also be presented. You can take part in this short 5 minute survey: Click Here to Start the Survey.
Looking ahead to the conference, Dr. Maureen Murphy said:
“Although storytelling has been around for an age, stories are often not connected to learning activities. Storytelling is however a powerful means of communication that is able to cross cultures and communities and during our session, you will be able to see first-hand how it can be used for effective learning and development.
If you haven’t already registered to attend LEARNING LIVE, there is still time. Tickets are still available at the LPI website.”
