Fresh from launching its first Corporate Responsibility Report, Aurion Learning was honoured with the title of ‘Right Place to Work’ (Small Company) at the eight annual Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards last week.
The award recognises the socially responsible, community and charitable initiatives that, as a team Aurion Leaning have undertaken throughout the past year. Aurion’s participation in these initiatives reflects its three-fold aim of bridging the digital divide in its community, teaching new skills and encouraging staff giving and volunteering.
Speaking about the award, Dr. Maureen Murphy, Managing Director at Aurion Learning said:
“We have fostered a culture of CSR which has been built on our vision and our values; this commitment is embedded in the DNA of our company and our team members at every level are involved in giving back to our community and our environment and regularly contribute ideas on how we can do things better as a company.”
“This award is a real testament to our team’s time and resources in the creation of sustainable communities where people want to live and work.”
The workplace awards, which are endorsed by CIPD and Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry, were handed out to over 20 organisations from a cross section of organisations in Northern Ireland.
“We’ve been overwhelmed yet again by the runaway success of the Workplace & Employment Awards,” Irish News marketing manager John Brolly said. “This high-calibre winners’ list proves that, as our economy begins to pick up again, Northern Ireland possesses the visionary leadership and flexible working environment to thrive and prosper.”
